About Me

Hi – I’m Nancy. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Throughout my life I’ve followed a non-traditional path, having held a wide range of positions . . .

. . . from personnel director to home school mom; free-lance writer to copywriter.

But writing and organization have always been key elements of my work, regardless of what my official job description may have said.

And let’s face it, the writing life – or any creative or entrepreneurial endeavor – can be hard.

Not only do we have to keep putting pen to paper, or brush to canvas, we’re now expected to maintain aggressive email marketing campaigns, attract followers to our website, and promote our work via social media.

And that’s not something we’re all good at. Or like to do.

Freeing Up Margin So You Can Pursue Your Passion

But you know, some of us actually get a kick out of creating spreadsheets. And when my home schooled children were applying to colleges, nearly every admissions officer they spoke to commented, “Man, your mom is organized!”

For the past four years I’ve been writing copy for a fast-paced internet marketing company, and I’ve learned a thing or two about the digital world.

I’ve learned how to write quality content quickly – emails that sell the open and the click, and website content that’s clear, engaging, and represents the company’s brand.

So please check out my services as a virtual assistant and let me know how I can help you find the margin you need to do your best creative work.

Samples of My Published Work:

  • Stewarding Memory, The High Calling – A glimpse into why I think ordinary stories of everyday people matter.
  • An Army Wife’s Joy, byFaith Magazine – My interview with the wife of a US Army Chaplain about her unique role in the church and military.
  • Random Stuff about Me

  • I’ve been married to my best friend, the beloved Swede for nearly 34 years. We’re adoptive parents to two grown children – one domestic, one import (from the Philippines).
  • Although I’ve lived in New England for more than 30 years, my heart remains in the City of Pittsburgh, home to my beloved Steelers and Pirates.
  • My favorite things to write are real-life stories about ordinary people.
  • I love the beach more than most people.
  • I still believe in Santa Claus.
  • Although I’ve worked in a number of different fields throughout my adult life, my all-time favorite job title is Granny to the Royal Grands: Patrick the Magnificent and Marta the Exquisite. I am convinced that they descend from Narnian royalty.
  • I believe that every good story echoes The One True Story: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration.
